It’s not long since I turned the last page on Demon and am breathless. You’d think Demon Copperhead would take a lifetime to research, and yet it’s only four years since Barbara Kingsolver’s last novel (and she published a volume of poetry in between).

It’s one of those books I want to tuck under my arm and carry around with me, it’s so precious. Such a huge and important topic and brought to us so brilliantly.
